WHAT WE DO Extension takes the latest research from the University into people's lives - where they live, work and play. Programming supported by Roseau county involves 4-H youth development and Nutrition education. 4-H Youth Development - Learn by doing Minnesota 4-H provides opportunities for kids to demonstrate leadership that benefits their communities and reflects the principles of democracy. Youth have fun while they learn, grow, and reach their full potential. • 4-H Clubs — Join and participate! We offer Community Clubs, Project Clubs, Afterschool Clubs, and Site-Based Clubs. • 4-H Adventures — Mini-blasts of fun. Try something new in a few hours, an afternoon, or a day. • County and State Fairs — showcase skills and accomplishments of MN youth • Operation Military Kids — provides support for youth during loved ones' deployment Nutrition Education Programs—Provides nutrition and food budgeting education to people with limited resources. • Minnesota Food & Nutrition Network- For nutrition programs to improve long-term nutrition outcomes. • Dietary Guidelines for Americans help you make better food choices to improve your health. • MyPyramid can help you choose the foods and amounts that are personalized just for you.
